Rodrigo Taveira
i-DREAMS Portugal Country Manager
Mastered in Aerospace Engineering, graduated from Instituto Superior Técnico, developed research in the areas of Fluid Mechanics and High Performance Computing, and obtained a PhD degree in Computational Engineering under the PhD Program UT Austin Portugal.
In the Maintenance and Performance Department he collaborates in the evaluation of the potential of new technologies in the mobility sector, from new energy vectors to innovative solutions in the area of data science. Within the Engineering and Planning Office he also performs modeling and economic feasibility analysis functions and coordinates the implementation of innovative projects in collaboration with the Academy.
Currently, he coordinates the actions of the European i-DREAMS project in Portugal, he is also the technical responsible for the electrification project of a minibus and integrates the team of Grupo Barraqueiro responsible for the analysis of economic and operational viability of hydrogen in the transport sector.
Tiago Octício
i-DREAMS Portugal Trial Manager
Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Instituto Superior Técnico and post-graduate degree in Advanced Transport Studies from ISG - Business and Economics School.
In the Production Department of the Engineering and Planning Office of Barraqueiro Transportes, S.A., he collaborates in the evaluation of the potential of new technologies in the mobility sector, from new energy vectors to innovative solutions in the area of optimization of human and material resources. Performs consulting functions, evaluation and economic analysis. Responsible for the implementation, co-development and operationalization of optimization projects and resource planning, based on mathematical algorithms.
Currently in the i-DREAMS project in Portugal, he is the coordinator of tests in simulator and road, and responsible for the project of sustainable mobility, LVpD, which includes conversion of an electric minibus. He is also responsible for the pilot project of intelligent system of counting passengers and support for the operation and exercises Project Management functions in the optimization of resources of Group Barraqueiro.
João Vieira
i-DREAMS Portugal Communication and Operating Officer
Pre-Bachelor's degree in BENG (Hons) Construction Engineering Management from the University of Portsmouth, UK, concluding his studies in 2022. João joined Barraqueiro Transportes S.A in August 2020, as part of a professional internship to complement his degree.
An integral part of the Engineering and Planning Office, motivated by renewable energies, communication and project management, he embarked on the i-DREAMS project from the beginning of his internship as a key element in the management of communication and liaison between the various departments of Barraqueiro Transportes, S.A. involved in the project.
Mariana Almeida

She joined the internship with a focus on the project of remotorization of buses for electric motors and in carrying out the tests of the i-DREAMS project and managing the communication and connection between the various departments of Barraqueiro Transportes, S.A. involved in the project.
